Below is a flow diagram/process map that shows the core SkilSure® process. For corporate customers we typically tailor the look, feel and functionality of the solution to fit specific requirements, while maintaining the code as release-level software. Major corporate users in the UK include British Gas and Veolia Environnement, and in the USA, MillerCoors.

SkilSure is a mature competency management system.
Core functionality includes:
- Competency data stored in a five level data hierarchy; profile title, mandatory/optional competencies, units of competence, performance criteria, competency related knowledge, performance criteria conditions
- Development planning functionality
- Evidence submission functionality
- Admin functionality to create/import competency profiles
- Admin functionality to create/import employee data
- Assessor role: Competency assessment, feedback and sign off functionality; functionality is designed to support workplace/on the job assessment
- Electronic portfolio functionality (stores plans and evidence for each candidate/employee referenced to item or items in competency data hierarchy; is accessible to portfolio "owner' assessor and manager on a read only basis)
- Quality Assurance functionality: allows for automated creation of sampling plans; monitoring of equivalence of assessor judgments, etc.
- Learning resource functionality: admin can assign (globally) learning resources to units of competence; candidates/employees can click through to launch any learning resource attached to a profile that has been assigned to them from its associated competency
- Quiz/test functionality: SkilSure includes fully featured test creation, test taking functionality. Admin makes tests links them to units of competence; candidate/employee takes tests and typically test result is written back in to database as evidence for an assessor to review prior to a unit of competence being signed off.
- Powerful reporting functionality allows real time monitoring of employee/candidate progress against assigned competencies, units completed not completed, progress on timeline, % complete, evidence submitted, etc.
- Powerful reporting monitors system usage by employees, assessors, etc.
- Specific unique log in profiles for: employee/candidate, assessor, QA manager, supervisor, manager, executive view, accredited witnesses.
- Additional functionality; includes, recertification tracking, learning resource revision tracking and user notification, etc.
Finally, we have created functionality that allows a number of corporate customers to run the software on smart phones and tablets; this functionality is of course particularly useful where assessors have to submit evidence from field assessments of employees/candidates.
1.0 Can corporate customers add company specific competency profiles?
Yes, this is core functionality provided to the system administrator.
2.0 Can company specific competency profiles be cross reference against NVQ/QCF profiles?
Yes, we have done this for a number of corporate solutions including, British Gas and Veolia.
3.0 Can corporate customers upload and run qualifications from awarding bodies within SkilSure?
Yes, we do this routinely; our solution matches the NVQ/QCF process requirements of ALL awarding bodies. Currently, it is endorsed by City & Guilds and Edexcel.
4.0 Can corporate customers pass HR data to SkilSure from their employee database?
Yes, we have bridged many times to many different HR databases.
5.0 Can corporate users link learning modules sitting within an LMS to SkilSure?
Yes.
