SkilSure® ePortfolio Product Information

The SkilSure® QCF/NVQ e-portfolio solution has been rigorously evaluated by City & Guilds and has been endorsed by them. It is compatible with their QCF/NVQ process and quality requirements.

The SkilSure® has been evaluated against Edexcel’s standards and has been found to meet them. SkilSure® is an Edexcel approved e-portfolio.

Handheld/PDA Compatible

Did you know that SkilSure® is the first endorsed e-portfolio provider to offer a PDA-compatible solution?

Using this cost-effective 'Fastlane' version, learners can access SkilSure® from a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), upload evidence directly into their e-portfolio, and reference that evidence against the Unit(s) and/or PC(s) of their NVQ...all on the same screen.

This solution will work for any centre but is ideal for centres with candidates pursuing construction, engineering, hospitality, hairdressing and other qualifications where candidates are required to submit evidence of their accomplishment directly from a workplace.

Integrated Online Testing

The online testing module will allow QCF/NVQs candidates to complete job knowledge tests online within the SkilSure® e-portfolio solution; successful completion can automatically update units where knowledge requirements have been met, send test results to an assessor for review and write results into a candidate's e-portfolio.

The testing solution is fully featured. It supports: six question types, randomizing presentation of test questions, drawing a specified number of questions from a pool, setting of time limits on tests, providing feedback to candidates, etc.

The SkilSure® e-portfolio solution with integrated job knowledge and unit tests can reduce the cost of QCF/NVQs completion by 50% while improving the retention of candidates and enhancing the quality of the learning process.

Tools for IVs and Assessors

The SkilSure e-portfolio is now enhanced with powerful tools and management information for Internal and External Verifiers and Assessors.

For Quality Assurance purposes internal verifiers are required to develop sampling plans. Across a qualification a sampling plan will show what evidence the IV plans to sample and the units, assessor, and candidate the sample will be drawn from. SkilSure has automated the process of predictive sampling but allows the IV s to overwrite the sampling to adjust, for example, for the need to over sample a trainee assessor and to save the result.

This functionality will be of particular interest to Colleges and Training providers pursuing excellence in their QCF/NVQs delivery with large numbers of candidates, assessors and IVs.
